The Katsina State Government has received a comprehensive report detailing allegations of land encroachment in the vicinity of Bakori Weekly Market, implicating officials from Bakori Local Government Council. In response to these claims, His Excellency, Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda Ph.D, has taken swift action.
Governor Radda has directed the Local Government Service Commission, leveraging its disciplinary authority, to promptly address the matter. The directives include an immediate investigation into the allegations, identification of the involved officials, implementation of suitable disciplinary measures, and a prompt report to the Governor with recommendations, if necessary.
The move is seen as a proactive step by the Katsina State Government to uphold transparency and accountability in local governance. Abdullahi Aliyu Yar'adua, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the State, signed the statement, underscoring the commitment of the state authorities to address allegations of misconduct promptly and decisively.
